About the Alliance of Christian Musicians
The Alliance of Christian Musicians (ACM) promotes excellence in music and musicianship in the context of corporate Christian worship
by providing
- education,
- support, and
- resources
for musicians committed to
- the authority of the Word of God, as solely revealed in the Holy Bible, and
- the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
We focus on church music ministry as well as the performance of art music. Holding Johann Sebastian Bach’s view that all music—and all of life—is under the dominion of God, we aspire to musicianship that praises Him. In practicing, learning, composing, and presenting music we seek to honor Him with skill and beauty. We make music with thankfulness and humility, in obedience to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
ACM holds workshops, conferences, and concerts in both the home-base Philadelphia area and the Puget Sound region of Western Washington. We host an annual Handbell Festival, a Young Church Musicians Competition, a Church Music Symposium, and other concerts and music-related events through the year.
ACM fosters camaraderie and fellowship among church musicians, sharing music resources for the worship of the church.
