ACM Festival Choir

The ACM Festival Choir is a community vocal ensemble of adults that will perform in concert at a Hymn Festival on Friday evening, October 21, 2011, in conjunction with the 5th Annual ACM Church Music Symposium in Tacoma, Washington.

Most recently the ACM Festival Choir, with 30 singers representing 13 local churches, performed works of Mozart, Handel, and Bach at a Hymn Festival in Tacoma on June 10, 2011.

In the Festival Choir you will:

  1. Meet other Christian musicians from the Puget Sound area.

  2. Improve your singing through rehearsals and performance. The selected choral works will be challenging yet accessible to average music readers.

  3. Provide an evening of musical delight to the public.

You will be asked to:

  1. Attend rehearsals. Up to three absences will be excused.

  2. Purchase from ACM all the music being performed (Cost: $20.00, tax included) and bring it to each rehearsal. You will be loaned a folio to hold your music during the concert.

  3. Dress as specified for the concert.
    Women: Long black skirt, long-sleeved white blouse, black shoes. Black belt if a belt is worn.
    Men: Black dress slacks, black belt, black shoes and socks, white long-sleeved shirt, dark long tie (solid or predominantly dark blues, grays, black, etc.)

  4. Perform on October 21, 2011. Choir will stand on risers on a 2-step stage in the Faith Presbyterian Church sanctuary.

Choir Room (downstairs), Faith Presbyterian Church

(5 minutes west of I-5 off SR16, and 3 minutes from the Narrows Bridge)
   

Time:

Tuesday Evenings, 7:15 – 8:45 p.m.
